You took the boy out of the farm, and all prior sayings somewhat fell apart. After spending 18 years on a little plot of heaven in the Canadian prairies, Shane moved to Montreal in 2000 to pursue an engineering degree and start his expedition of the world.
While at McGill, Shane defied most technical stereotypes and kept his musical base strong, performing with Soulstice A Cappella, the McGill Jazz choir, his own band, Paper Street, and a handful of other projects. Through these musical ventures, he was introduced to a wide and diverse musical community in the Montreal area.
It would be years later, after finishing his degree and entering the work force that old friends from this music community would call on him to sing with Ardesco. After singing together with the group for over a year, work would whisk Shane away from Montreal, and he sadly would have to leave the group. He currently resides in the UK, working for a startup engineering firm in Oxford.
