Othniel was born from a Québec/Haïti union. He first started his musical education on trumpet, which he played for the last 13 years and got his collegial diploma in classical trumpet. After being requested to sing in multiple projects, he realized how much he loved the art of singing and decided to explore this new instrument. He went through 6 years of vocational training in jazz music at Cégep St-Laurent and Concordia Univerity, where he also learned to play piano. He’s been teaching for the last 6 years in a private music school on the south shore of Montreal. His musical path leads him to jazz, soul and r’n’b and Ardesco is a great opportunity for him to sing with talented singers from different backgrounds.
